We are a small team of internationally minded educators, architects and designers who enjoy working with schools looking for the collaborative and compassionate support we offer. Any Head of School, Board Chair or Proprietor can arrange a conversation, in confidence, about how we can support their school’s mission and development goals by contacting matthew.raggett@mredpartners.com

We have worked to support schools in India and Germany in the following areas:

Teacher Development

The key to school improvement. A school’s greatest asset is its teaching faculty and this is where it will see the greatest return on investment in terms of teaching and learning. We offer research based development and training for teams, departments and whole staff as workshops, interventions and programmes tailored to your school improvement goals. We can also help schools that want to turn their teacher Evaluation and Appraisal systems into something that causes learning rather than fear.

Leadership Team and Middle Leadership Development

A school’s principle engines of change are the departments and teams in which people work; whether it is academic departments, boarding houses, leadership teams or administrative offices. When people work as the best versions of themselves for their team and their students then magic happens. Using an approach that develops a shared understanding of purpose and a vocabulary of critical reflection and continuous improvement, we can partner and coach established and newly formed teams in schools to bring out the best in themselves and in the students they serve.

Workshop and Programme Development

Whether you are a school looking to add value to your curriculum, a VET centre wanting to grow the soft skills and employability of your students or an organisation looking for a training partner, we have experience of working with senior leadership teams in many settings to plan workshops and interventions will meet your needs and create sustainable change.

Family and Student Counselling

With the impact of Covid-19 on schools and our children’s learning there is increased pressure at home. Many families are curating the schooling-at-home experience with varying levels of support from their schools and other support networks. The possibility of there not being a final exam for a programme of study looms and the impact of this on applications is still unknown. The educational landscape has never been so complex. We are able to offer personalised counselling services for students and families looking for support navigating this landscape. If you would like to know more about how we can help students to find their place in the world then please contact us.

Classroom Re-design

With experience of working through the needs assessment, design and implementation of creating classrooms and science laboratories that support 21st century teaching and learning requirements of international programmes, we are able to partner you in the process to make sure that the finished product fits the school environment and works for your students and teachers.

Boarding and Duty of Care

With more emphasis on the value addition of boarding education and the safeguarding and wellbeing of children, what was once acceptable of hostels and supervision is no longer enough. With experience of supporting the professional growth of boarding staff and the redesign and configuration of boarding houses to provide the care and facilities that are expected when seeking accreditation to international standards, we can partner you on the journey of moving from hostels to boarding houses that offer the opportunity to develop citizenship and independence.

School Improvement Planning

Continuous improvement is not only a mindset to develop in students and staff, but also a requirement in the competitive education landscape. We can work alongside a Leadership Team or Board to help them ask the right questions and gain a clear picture of where a school is today in terms of faculty and student body, academic and co-curricular programme as well as infrastructure and resources. With input from school stakeholders we can help a school or Board articulate their vision and objectives for the school and create the plan to take the community from where it finds itself today towards the goals of tomorrow.

Visual Environment and School Culture

What does your school’s visual environment say about itself, its staff and its students? Are the visual messages what you want them to be? Are they coherent and do they match the school’s Mission and Vision? A Visual Environment Audit can be the starting point for a school’s Senior Leadership Team to take better control of the narrative and help to bring about increased clarity in messaging, language and identity; some of the stuff that builds culture.

Preparing for Accreditation

Whether a school is considering authorisation for a new academic programme and exam board, joining a body for professional growth or seeking accreditation from an international schools association, it’s helpful to have an independent critical friend who has been through all of these processes support you through the application and self-study; we are able to offer this support.

Student Leadership Development

The quality of role-modelling and leadership provided by a school’s senior students has a powerful effect on school culture, the experience of the younger students and the way in which they work with the teachers. Investing time as a School Head and Leadership Team into nurturing a shared understanding with all senior students of what leadership is and a vocabulary through which this can be articulated is as important as working with designated teams of student leaders, like prefects, school councils and student governance bodies. We can support you in planning workshops, interventions and leadership programmes tailored to your students’ needs.
